The Easiest & Quickest Smokey Eye... Ever!
There's certain makeup looks that are talked about everywhere... a flawless base, brushed up brows and maybe the most well known of them all, the smokey eye.
But what is a smokey eye and how do you achieve it in a way that works for your budget, style and look?
It's a really versatile look that you can adapt to fit your personal style, essentially you're just creating a blended, 'smoked' out effect with a mix of tonal and dark colours.
You could use any colour in the rainbow to create the look as long as its darker than your skin tone. There are so many different ways to achieve a smokey eye, but this technique happens to be one of my faves.
Not only is it quick and easy to do, you only need 2 products.
Therefore it’s fuss-free and perfect for after-work drinks, where you can just fit a few products in your bag, or for when you're short on time and need to nail the look, fast.
You will need:
1 x Creamy Kohl Pencil. I recommend starting out with a dark brown like our Memphis Eyeliner, it’s a softer alternative to black and it's also much easier for beginners to work with
1 x Loose Eyeshadow Pigment. Try Chainmail or Hustle, both are neutral shades that work well with the Memphis Eyeliner
1 x Pc35 Brush - a multi use brush that can be used for most stages of this look
1 x Pc38 Brush - this is a smaller brush ideal for smudging around the lash line
Step 1:
Line your waterline and your upper and lower lashes with a creamy kohl pencil. Don’t worry about being neat at this stage
Step 2:
Take the pc38 brush and use this to smudge over the pencil. This will soften the lines and start to create the smokey effect you are after
Step 3:
Now fill your eyelid with the same kohl pencil taking it no higher than crease. Our eyeliner formula is so creamy that it will glide effortlessly making this step alot easier than you think
Step 4:
Quickly use the pc35 brush to blend over the edge where the pencil meets the socket. This will diffuse the edges to create a seamless look. You need to be quick to do this before the eyeliner starts to set
Step 5:
You can repeat step 4 a few times depending on how dramatic you want the end result
Step 6:
It’s time to add the wow factor. Use the pc35 brush to pat your chosen loose eyeshadow pigment in the centre of the lid (I used Chainmail). This is guaranteed to make your eye pop!
Step 7:
Finish with some mascara and your fave Peaches lashes. I love style No30 for an understated look that doesn’t detract from the eye makeup
Step 8:
Sit back and let the compliments flood in!
